OUR TEAM

Lisa McFadden

Owner

As a long time Richmond resident and calling Steveston Village home since 2007, Lisa often heard about the amazing treatments that her neighbors and colleagues experienced at a well-known local gem called the Raintree Wellness Spa. When the opportunity came along to purchase the spa over Christmas 2015 and become a part of an exceptional team of spa professionals, it was an easy choice to make.

With a background in business and medi-spa management,  Lisa is looking forward to building new business and connecting with the Steveston community.  Lisa and her husband Derek can often be found shopping in the Village, sipping vino on their patio and planning their next trip.

Laurie Watt

Spa Manager

Laurie’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of technical expertise and customer care has been a guiding principle throughout her 12 year career in esthetics. Laurie’s natural leadership, experience and commitment will ensure that every guest experiences the warmth and caring that Raintree guests have come to expect. Laurie welcomes all of our guests to experience our effective and results oriented treatments, and encourages you to give yourself some much needed time to recharge your mind, body and spirit.
Born and raised in Richmond, began her training at Blanche MacDonald and has since continued to grow through many years of continued education. Laurie couldn’t be happier working for the past four years in the little village of Steveston at a well established spa like Raintree.

Brianne Baxter

Esthetics

Brianne Baxter has been a Raintree guest favourite for over 10 years. Her lovely smile and genuine warmth is complimented by her warm and caring touch. A graduate of the Blanche MacDonald Esthetics program, Bri’s passion for skin care and her caring touch is her specialty. Bri’s favourite treatment is the custom rebalancing facial, allowing her to customize each treatment based on our guests individual needs.
A Steveston alumni, Bri is proud to live and work in the neighbourhood where she grew up. With her husband, Jess a local realtor and her cutie pie pup, Bri and her family can be found enjoying the restaurants and boardwalk in and around Steveston as well as spending summer weekends on the water, enjoying the natural beauty of our spectacular Westcoast.

Jacqueline Bruce

Esthetics

Jacqueline joined Raintree Wellness Spa 2016 and has quickly become an integral member of the Raintree team, seamlessly integrating her extensive years of esthetics experience with our exacting standards. A graduate of the Blanche MacDonald Esthetics program, Jacqueline’s experience with skin sensitivities has been a valuable resource for our guests. Jacqueline’s favourite treatment is the Sea C spa facial which has a concentrated dose of vitamin C and is great for any skin in need of major hydration. It simply leaves your skin radiant.
A Steveston alumni, Jacqueline is happy to be working in Steveston where she grew up but resides in Vancouver’s West End with her partner Bryan. On days off, they can be found cycling around the city, cooking and entertaining at their home with friends and family or Jacqueline simply looking for her next pair of new shoes to adorn her impressive shoe closet!

Sue Oberhoffner

Bodyworker

Sue is excited to be part of the Raintree team, considering it a jewel of a spa devoted to exceptional guest experiences. Her warm and comforting demeanor carries through into her relaxing massage and body treatments.

A longtime Steveston resident, Sue used to check out Raintree as it was being built, watching the beautiful and thoughtful design take place. As a client she experienced firsthand the “Raintree difference”, so there was a high standard she wanted to be a part of after graduating from Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage. “What I love to see is the before and after in a guest’s face: after treatments they look relaxed and quietly renewed. It is my privilege to be a catalyst for that”.

Days off, Sue is often walking the dyke and Village with her gorgeous Husky/Shepherd “Josh”, dreaming up decorating designs and savouring her favorite cup of java.
